Seriously. I'm sick of high school drama, and now it's elementary humor.
My company has taken over part of the first floor - part that's directly below where my department sits. Currently (and for a while now), they're doing construction. Directly below us. It gets annoying. Mostly there is an occasional loud noise or vibration, but for the most part we hardly know they're down there, which is a good thing.
The past two days though? I'm not exactly sure what they're doing. But it's loud. Very loud, very often. It sounds like someone is farting. Loudly. So, of course, working with some of the most immature adults I know, everybody giggles every time we hear the noise. I'll admit, it was humerous the first couple times. But after the first day of it, it just gets annoying, and I try to tune it out. But I can't seem to tune out all the giggles.

They sell fart machines at Spencer's. Maybe if they think YOU are farting, they will try to pretend nothing happened.
It's been so loud at work lately and I've been trying to write copy. I have been bringing my draft to the lunch room and working on it there, then returning to my desk, making my changes, then bringing it back to the lunch room to re-edit... rinse, repeat.
It's reallllllly difficult to write, research, or be creative when people in cubicles next to yours are having temper tantrums. |

Actually, someone did hide one of the fart machines in a drawer. It was funny for a little while, but not nearly as long as they were laughing about it. So far it's quiet this morning, thank goodness.

We have new neighbors today. The old noisy annoying ones moved out two weeks ago. The new ones are really quiet, you barely even know they are there. We brought in food to welcome them to the neighborhood...any excuse for a food day.
Did I mention how quiet they are? I  my new neighbors.

No, borrow Harley. Since honey has been in charge of feeding the dogginators their farts have become RIPE and FREQUENT. | |
