Where It All Began Write-Off
You know you have one. A dark, long forgotten secret buried in the deepest recesses of your heart.
The album that first called your name at the record store be it on vinyl, 8-track, cassette, or CD. You may be proud of that first album (it could have been something admirable like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, or Michael Jackson) or maybe it hasn't seen the light of day since your twelfth birthday (darn that Flock of Seagulls or Donnie Osmond). Whatever the case, it is quite possible that you saved your allowance, babysitting, or lawn mowing money up for the big purchase. Maybe your cousin or big brother handed the album down to you. It was regardless of circumstance a cherished possession as a child or young teen.
And now that album is at the center of the great Where It All Began Write-Off hosted by none other than Lambchops (or, if you prefer, Shelly). The premise is simple. It is your duty to allow your dirty little secret come to light and to tell all of Epinions (and the world) about your first musical love. Don't sugar coat the truth, I'm looking for the most honest and real account of both your past feelings of the album and your current interpretations. Of course the more unexpected the better, but we can all only start from one place.
There are no prizes, no congratulatory medal to wear on your lapel. Instead, the reward will be the knowledge that you have participated in a monumental music Write-Off.
So...you want the details of this upcoming event. Well, the posting dates will be April 14th - April 18th and everybody is invited to partipate. There are no special requirements, just a list of the names of other participants at the bottom. See...isn't that simple?!
