Stephen King Write-off, Part 3 | | (No, you are not hallucinating, I'm finally hosting it.)
The Rules (note, there are some very slight changes from the first two write-offs):
1.) Review any novel, short story collection, e-book, or non-fiction book by Stephen King or any movie adapted from a King work.
2.) All reviews must be positive (at least four stars). Honoring King by trashing his work is a no-no.
3.) Indicate that you are participating in this write-off in the title of your review.
4.) Include a list of the participants in your review. I will provide this list to you by e-mail and will have it posted on my Epinions profile.
5.) Post your review to Epinions on Sunday, October 31, 2004: Halloween.
6.) E-mail me a link of your review.
7.) Communicate your interest in participating to me via e-mail, private message, or a reply to this message by Friday, October 29.
And at the risk of sounding like a control freak, a smart-ass, or both, I've come up with AFAQ (Anticipated Frequently Asked Questions):
1.) Why in the Hell is the date so late?
Aside from wanting to honor the Master of Horror on Halloween, I also wanted to give people ample time to read their books and write their reviews. Which explains why I chose Halloween instead of Friday the 13th, which is in August.
2.) I can't participate on that day because [insert reason]. May I post on a different date?
Yes. Just try to post as close to the date as possible. And let me know if this date is a problem. If enough people complain, I'll move it back a little.
3.) Will you assign us a product to review?
No.
4.) Do we have to tell you which product we intend to review?
No.
5.) What if someone else plans to review the same product I want to review? Is that okay?
It's fine.
