This job has been up on the boards for about a month or so now - I have better luck with fiction, poetry, non-fiction than with Comedy, but I thought with the witty people here someone may be interested in checking it out:
Comedy Writing Position 2
John Kiely
http://www.guru.com/gig/project_view.jhtml?gigId=425032
We are seeking creative writers that have a flare for comedy to write short descriptions (10-20 words per description) for everyday objects, such as a "banana". What can you say about the word banana that is either humorous, sarcastic, rude, but not offensive and suitable for ages 12 and up? Each writer will be assigned 80 to 100 words that must be approved before accepted.
Please provide us with an example of your writing by using the following 3 words: apple; cactus; pizza. (i.e., If someone were to show you a picture that they drew of the above objects, what would you say to the person that would be humorous, sarcastic, funny, insulting, rude, but not offensive or crude?)
Example: chimney: You blow a lot of smoke, and not just from your mouth.
You may have to set up a Guru membership as a freelancer to see the posting, but membership is free.
