This new electronic magazine--meant to "empower" teen/young
parents--currently seeks articles, essays, and craft pieces. The
magazine is particularly interested in articles "that assist
young parents in returning to school or furthering their
education."
Essay submissions are welcome from "current young parents, former
young parents, friends and families of young parents […], and even
those who were born to young parents." The magazine pays $25 for
original articles, $20 for original essays, $10 for article/essay
reprints, and $10 for craft pieces ($5 for reprints). Payment on
publication.

emphasizes activities and ideas. In addition to its features, the
magazine runs several departments open to freelance queries and
submissions. The "My Great Idea" section highlights "a practical,
innovative idea that the writer used to solve a common household
problem." This piece runs 800-1,000 words and pays $1,250 on
acceptance.
An adjunct column, "My Great Idea: From Our
Readers," includes "simple, clever ideas that solve common
household problems, but in the form of brief letters from writers and
readers." These letters run 100-150 words and pay $75 on
publication. The "Family Ties" section features reader essays

and more philosophical or issue-oriented stories." The guidelines
detail departments open to freelancers, including a "Your
Turn" column that offers a chance for parents (especially readers
of the magazine) to "share their experiences"; this column
runs 800 words and pays $200. Professional writers are encouraged to
consider the "Slice of Life" column, "that explores the
lighter side of parenting, but never at the expense of kids."
This 750-word column pays $650. The "Beyond Motherhood" column
