Re Call for Submissions: Topic - Asperger's, Autism, Rett's, Etc

Hey Leslie this sounds interesting. I started in late July as the Editor to the AutismSpectrumDisorders site at Bella. It is not a paying gig but I am learning a lot about website traffic and search engines. The site is high up there on google and I get a google alert daily for autism and have seen many of my articles appear in that alert.

I am getting readers from all over the world and have received offers of toys and books from companies and authors to review them on the site.

I started a forum, next will be a chat and now learning the basics of ebooks so I can write one and then make some small change.

Glad to see the deadline has not passed and luckily one child goes back to school tomorrow so I could have some time for this.

Bonnie

What does prescriptive articles mean exactly?

Geez I forgot that anything I make SSI turns around and takes a good chunk the following month from both boys checks. Sometimes it is not worth making any spare change!

Prescriptive articles would be ones in which you tell other parents how they should raise their children or what they should do.

In other words, they're looking for stories that share what you do without telling someone else they should do the same. They're avoiding how-to articles.

don't write those type of articles and feel the book would be better without other parents berating those of us who do not agree with the vaccine controversy.

I just sent them an email asking if I could write an article on Bella about their upcoming book and seeking submissions.

Oh, I think both types of articles have their places. It depends on the type of book and what the reader wants at that time. Personally, I think prescriptive articles work a lot better from such experts as doctor, psychologists, teachers, etc.
