I am writing an article on Choreography as a Career. I am at the end stage where I am fleshing it out and making it more personal through interviews with actual choreographers in various fields. I have gotten to interview choreographers in the field of cheerleading, music video, sports (I know - I didn't know they used choreography either) and a choreographer who has built a new field out of ergonomics and efficiency through choreography in the workplace.
I am also looking to interview professionals who use choreography in other professions - stage/theater, dance (I have a few calls in on this, but the national corps dance world is highly competitive and I'm doubtful the Christopher Wheeldons of the world will get back to me....

), concerts, and more.
It occurred to me that EA was a very creative place, and perhaps some of you may be in these fields or know someone who is.
If so, and you'd like to answer the questions I'll put at the end of this thread, please contact me. If you don't have time to talk, feel free to email me with your background and the answers if you'd like - be sure to include your name and organization so I can include it in the article.
I'm having a ton of fun with this writing assignment, and learning a LOT of new things about the industry. I didn't think I'd have so much fun with it when I started, so that's a bonus.

The questions I've been asking, in random order (and sometimes I've asked other questions depending on how the interview is going and how much time the person can give me, so feel free to embellish):
1) How did you choose choreography as an essential part of your career?
2) How did you choose your specialty, and how do you incorporate choreography into it?
3) What is a typical work day like for you?
4) What advice can you give aspiring choreographers?
5) What is the most challenging aspect of your career?
