I have had a client for a year now (love, love, love those repeat clients) who has had me writing career how-to eguides for them. I've just completed number 12 in her series. The entire time I've periodically thought to myself, "Why not try writing e-books of your own?"
Well, I have given it a lot of thought, and while my writing plate is a little full, I'd still like another income stream and writing outlet.
I already have
my business site, my brand-spankin' new
American Fiction Site for Suite 101,
my blog and some other online writing outlets, so this would just be adding to that online portion of my portfolio.
After much debate, I have decided to try my hand at a series of e-books on cooking (desserts, meals, hints, and how-to guides). I am determining the content and length now.
My question: What is a good cookbook length? I'm thinking shorter is better, but seeking feedback. Also, what would you pay for an e-book formatted cookbook? Also, what do you think of the idea as a whole?
Thanks!
