Financial People With a Taste for Writing

FINANCIAL WRITERS needed for investor glossary.

We are currently in need of several experienced individual investment/financial writers to write a large number of original definitions of investment related terms (i.e. stocks, bonds, etc.) for a web-based investor glossary.

We have created a customized writer's interface that allows writers to login to a section of our website, and choose from a very large list of terms. You can work at your own pace and select the terms which are of most interest to you. We are looking for individual writers that can complete a minimum of 20 definitions per week. 50+ definitions a week is ideal. Definitions must be between 120 to 240 words each.

Writers are paid $7 per definition. We like to pay within two days of receiving term submissions, but it can take as long as 10 days if we are back-logged with editing. We pay with PayPal so you must have or be willing to get a free PayPal account.

Each writer must be approved individually as we want very experienced writers that know the financial markets, don't require any hand holding, and won't be a burden on our editors. We are strict about quality, therefore we are looking for writers that have a financially-related college degree, an absolute minimum of two years of experience at a major financial institution, plus relevant financial writing experience. Writers are considered to be independent contractors; at the beginning of each year, a 1099-MISC form will be sent for the previous year's work.

If you are interested, and would like to apply for this position, please carefully complete the entire form at Investor Glossary. If you are approved, you will be asked to start with three definitions. Definitions submitted for the initial test are paid at the same $7/definition rate, even if you are not brought on board. If the quality of the initial batch of three definitions is high, you will be allowed to work on as many definitions as you like as long as the quality of your work remains high.

Good luck!
