You're not necessarily doing anything wrong, James. Epinions is a pretty big pond, and there are an awful lot of fish swimming around.
You've probably heard some of this before, but some tips bear repeating:
- Read and rate, especially in the categories you write in. Leave honest ratings, too.
- Leave comments.
- Hang out on Epinions-related boards (like this one!).
- If you can, don't submit several posts in one day - people generally read only the one or two most recent ones.
I should also add that these tips won't automatically result in more hits. Nor are they the easiest way to get hits. (Becoming a rubber-stamper or a click circle member is much less work.) What they can do is help raise your Epinions profile, to the point where folks start to recognize your name and think, "Hey, I wonder what he's written lately" or "Hmm, this person seems like a fair rater." Then you might start to get more hits, and repeat visitors.
