Hi gang...
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to put this but I'll try until the moderators kick me out.
Some of you are fond of the adventures of MNM and my warped sense of humor.
I have, finally, finished a new draft of a stage farce that I have been writing off and on for some years. I am looking for opinions on it such as 'You're the next Neil Simon' or 'Why are you wasting your time you talentless hack?' or 'It made a great liner for the birdcage'.
Anyone who wants to plow through 120 pages of my comic style, drop me a line and I will be happy to email you a copy of the thing. It is entitled Terrorist in the Family Room and is a classic door banging Feydeauesque farce set in modern suburbia, set in motion when a dysfunctional family takes in an international terrorist as a houseguest by mistake.

Please, please include me...if I'm not too late picking up this thread. I LOVE your writing! (my recent absence around here and at the mother site are due to other projects I've got going on, not due to disinterest)

I've no idea who Feydeau is or was...I just assume this is yet another educated reference that leaves me in the dust. That's what I get for watching too much TV.
But, I know who MrsNormanMaine is, and I'm chomping at the bit to read.

Hey, don't feel too bad, Pluck--I didn't know Feydeau from Topo Gigo until I did a Google search and found this thumbnail bio of Feydeau. What's worse, I majored in Theater for two years at the University of Wyoming--even took numerous courses in Thee-a-tuh History. Shame on me.
I plan on reading Terrorist in the Family Room on the plane tonight as I head out for a weeklong biz trip. Let's hope I don't shake the jet with too much laughter. Maybe they'll chalk it up to turbulence. |
