Make a difference to a sick child.
Lately I've been involved in crafting for charity, and its very rewarding. During one of my recent wild searches on the web, I stumbled across the Hugs and Hope website. I got a bit teary while I was reading. It seems like a really easy way for anyone to make a difference in a sick childs life.

It's a site for people to send a card, note, or small gift to sick children.

We have a great group of people at EA, and I wanted to share the site in case any of you wanted to participate. PLEASE read the site carefully. For obvious reasons there are rules to protect the privacy of the children and their families. People also must be diligent in checking the childrens health status so that no family receives a card or note after their child has passed.

If you want to make a difference, and can afford the price of a stamp, think about getting involved. Smile

Wow, this site is something else. It sure makes you cry reading the stories.

Another good organization is Chemo Angels:

Chemo Angels Cancer Support Organization

Irishma (remember her?) introduced me to Chemo Angels several years ago, and I became a Chemo Angel.

Even though it's really sad if the child to whom you are assigned dies, it's good to know that you were able to bring him/her a little joy and to be a support to their families.

You can also be an "angel" to an adult receiving chemo or to a senior citizen in a nursing home.

When a thought takes one's breath away, a grammar lesson seems an impertinence.
