Or as my youngest used to shout, "Floor!"

Either may be appropriate for Casey Martin's story. He's the golfer who was Tiger Woods' teammate at Stanford and suffers from a debilitating leg injury. He simply cannot walk the four plus miles required during a golf match.

His case went as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, which this week ruled that he could use a golf cart to traverse the distance between shots. A couple of key issues remain, of course, there always are. One is whether Martin is playing well enough to get back on the tour. Another is what happens to his psyche if he does make it. Does he end up with a fabled astriesk next to any course or tournament record he may be fortunate to achieve?

Does it even matter given the fact that he's struggling on the buy.com tour where he is using a cart?

Suport Senator Clinton's candidacy by contributing here. Every little bit helps. If you don't want to give, at least sign up to learn more via email. Lots of grass-roots stuff already going on.

Your old music cannot sustain you through a life, not if you're someone who listens to music every day, at every opportunity. You need input, because pop music is about freshness, about Nelly Furtado and the maddeningly memorable fourth track on a first album by a band you saw on a late-night TV show. And no, that fourth track is not as good as anything on Pet Sounds or Blonde on Blonde or What's Going On, but when was the last time you played Pet Sounds? - Songbook by Nick Hornby

That's a hard one.

Ok. I'll be the one to sound all unPC.

No. I think if you're going to play on that level, you need to be able to play on that level. Just look at the Senior's Tour. Fantastic golfers who are no longer quite up to the PGA. They realize this while still managing to play the game and have fun. And we still enjoy watching them play.

Look at the LPGA for that matter. Sure, these women play a hell of a game, but there is no way they can match the longer drives. I'd be singing a different tune if they could. Doesn't mean that allowances should be made though.

As someone who used to play golf competitively (but not on the PGA standards -- I was only on my high school golf team for four years), walking 18 holes is a huge part of the game. Casey is getting an unfair advantage by using the cart -- I don't care what debilitating injury he has.

He has learned to play golf despite his injury. I congratulate him for that instead of sitting on the couch bitching about how life is unfair.

But, it is grossly unfair to the other players who can't use a cart. While there is no real difference in the first nine holes, the differences will show up on the last nine, particularly the last six or seven holes.

Let's face it -- when you're playing in high humidity on a hot day, walking 18 holes, you're going to get tired. I don't care if you're Tiger Woods or not, your shots are going to deteriorate as the day progresses. When you're in a cart, you have the advantage of not expending the same energy as those who are walking.

This was a bad move on so many levels from the Supremes. What's next? Hockey? Football? Baseball?
