If Feel that You or a Friend has been Wrongfully Ticketed
by Epinions staff, please email Epinions staff directly and do not post a cry for support at EA.

This policy is in place to help keep the forums civil. Sometimes, we all agree that a member should be ticketted. Sometimes, we all agree that a member should not have been ticketted. However, it is a more typical scenario that some of us are on one side, and some of us are on the other.

This presents a challenge for the EA moderators, and especially me. Our rules of conduct do not allow the negative discussion of other Epinions members by name, or by description. But we do allow supportive comments.

Therefore, it is possible for supporters of a tickited person to post, but not people who believe the member was rightfully punished. See the difficulty? EA is about conversation, discussion, and information sharing. If we can only allow one side to speak, there really isn't any point in having the "discussion" at all.

If Feel that You or a Friend has been Wrongfully Ticketed
Amy - I've been on epinions for awhile now, and I don't consider myself a rookie. That is, until someone proves me wrong.

Translation? I have no idea what it means to be "ticketed". Can you clue me in?

A ticket is issued by Epinions staff for certain infractions of the site rules. Plagiarism, member harrassment, duplicate reviews, etc.

A ticket usually renders the recipient's reviews invisible to everyone except those who trust or block the member.
