Power Point
I hate Power Point for small presentations, so I don't generally use it. Now I have to.
I have the basics to make a simple slide show, but I'm wasting too much time figuring out how to add some of the arrows and animations. Are there any quick tutorials out there or do any of you have any advise?

Thanks!

Can't help you there except to say when it comes to PowerPoint and animations, less is generally more Smile

good! I'm doing just fade in to make points 1 by 1. I have that mastered. It would be nice if that were enough!

It probably is Smile George would disagree with me but he's not here. Sara would have good insight though.

I rather spend the time on the content than the bells and whistles, so...... Sorry George. Smile

If you will be printing out your slides to hand out, make sure you're not having things pop in (I am not sure what you call it) or they will overlap when you print the slide.

Thanks, Margaret. I'm printing them out for me and haven't seen that yet, but I'm not printing handouts out for them. They'll have to take notes. Smile

What MJ said. One class I took on PPT (years ago) said to not use more than 3 different types of animations or other effects (i.e., sound, WordArt) in a presentation. For a short presentation, I'd make it even less, and make sure it really makes sense to use in the situation (i.e., you don't want them to read through the bullets until you're ready to talk about them)
